[Win7] Two succesful connections to VPN, followed by continuous Err 807 until pc reboot..
Hi, At our company, where we maintain a whole lot of MDM/VPN connections to food-production-companies we are experiencing some weird issues with one connection in particular. Making the connection on XP machines has never given any sorts of problems before, but since we made the internal upgrade to windows 7 pc's the connections seems to have become somewhat unstable. After a lot of testing we have kinda found a rhythm in the problem. It seems that when our computer boots up and we run our connection client (which holds all connections with associated programs/usernames/passwords) to connect with the VPN, it succesfully connects and we can take control of our client's networked pc's. After disabling the connection and then reconnecting, we get another succesful try. If we try do this again, and connect for a 3rd time, it fails and we get error 807 (ERROR_VPN_DISCONNECT) This trend continues until we reboot our computer and then repeat the process. We are really wondering how this could be, and how we could fix this issue because the vpn needs to be available at all times ofcourse. If u ask me there's nothing wrong with vpn settings, ports or firewalls since the connection is able to establish.. Anyone got any hints on further debugging this problem? Would be epic! Thx in advance!

Hi , You may try the methods in this link and see how it helps. Also, make sure the Routing and Remote Access service is enabled. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itpronetworking/thread/028b1155-0334-4a27-83a2-6f65d6bd5c5eTracy Cai TechNet Community Support

Dear Tracy Cai, First of all thank u for the reply and my apologies if mine took a while. Since I was on vacation I've only now had time to get back to this issue. I've checked out ur link and tried to see if it had any solutions. 1. Port 1723 does not seem to be blocked since the connection is establishable at times. 2. Same with firewall settings?! 3. Rebooting seems to be the only fix until now. 4. The "Routing and Remote Access" service is disabled??! o.O And it can not be enabled/started (message shown: no program makes use of it) -> Yet the connection works for the first tries without service enabled..
